More than 30 years ago, three brothers banded together to set up the first durian stall in Singapore. Its location at Jalan Basar was buzzling with durian lovers. With just a small makeshift stall of a few durian racks setup outside a coffeeshop, business started to grow steadily.

Due to their grit and strong determination to eke out a living to support a growing family, business grew and expanded into full fledge fruit retail stores, one at Tampines and one at Geylang. It eventually grew to three stores along Geylang – the famous stretch of durian stores.

Slowly but surely, their hard work paid off and the brothers became well recognized as Hock Chew, Hock Chew Kah 福州家 and Hock Chew Tee (HCT) 福州弟 in the durian trade. Later years, strong demand for quality durian pulp due to a shift in consumer patterns to business enquiries led to the creation of Hock Chew Tee (HCT).

With a conviction to develop premium quality durian pulp, HCT has obtained HACCP certification as a testament of our belief of quality control at each stage of our production. To date, we have more than 500 customers in our base, ranging from reputable confectionery businesses, restaurant chains, artisan cafes to food manufacturing companies and ice cream and gelato establishments in Singapore.
